This small park / boat landing was recommended to me in passing by someone who was visiting Hayward Beach at the same time we were there. They had said that they had a great time with their grandchildren catching bluegills on the river side, so we decided to take a chance on it and check it out.

Namekagon Dam Landing is the birthplace of the Namekagon River (a personal favorite of mine due to the prolific amount of fish and beauty that it has). There is a small boat landing that does not have an actual ramp in it, it's just a shallow, sandy bottom ramp with the water foliage cleared away for it. I think that perhaps all you could launch there would be a boat you could carry on your back (like a Jon boat) or perhaps a canoe.

There are outhouses & a couple of picnic tables.

We tried fishing but had no luck that day.

It's a small park with absolutely beautiful scenery and, at least when we went, very secluded. There were no other people there at the time we were there.
