At Office work an' such. Ride elevators up an' down, An' never worry much. Jes' sort o' boss the bunch all day An' tell 'em what to write. Then site around an' draw big pay, An' spend the same at night. In Winter-time I'd jes' as soon Hold down a job like that, But 'long about the first of June I'd leave it, cold an' flat. An' beat it back where fishin's good, An' pitch my tent right there, Lake all them Office fellers would, Who like the out-door air. The only office work I'd take To hold the whole year 'round, Would be the one that has a lake Where Bass an' Pike abound. With Trout streams runnin' here an' there An' woods alive with Deer, The only kind that can compare With what I have RIGHT HERE.   |
