Right front leg is glued and doweled, while knee is reconstructed.

 



Looks like major surgery.



More needed still.

Dowels are added to the knee.

Notice some of the metal patches on the other side of the horse on the back leg. Luckily there weren't alot of these patches on this horse. Sometimes they can be so bad that the wood completely dissolves underneath the patches and whole sections of legs (especially knees) or other parts have to be completely recarved.

 

Here dowels tighten rear leg while wooden patch fills
removed metal.



Sally's ears were MIA along with her top teeth.

 

A better look at Sally's mouth. She needs top teeth carved and the gap on her upper pallet filled. Notice that at the back of her mouth there is a rounded 'hole' where her metal mouth bit used to seat.
