MEMBERSHIPS - CLINICS -
FIELD TRIPS - LESSONS - BOY/GIRL SCOUTS - GROUPS Our Training Motto is: "What it takes to own your own horse!" We feel some purchase a horse because they are "pretty"-"exciting to own"-"it's a phase they are going through"-"their best friend owns one" and "you can ride them". Too often "some" horse owners will purchase horses without a clue of how to take care of them properly. Some have no clue the yearly cost of owning a horse or 2 or 3, or the past history of the horse they are purchasing, or even what to look for. Some have no idea how they were trained, what to if a horse colic's or founders, or even the meaning of these words. In our three (3) generation horse experience, we have seen this in the past and continue to see it over and over with several we have come to know. (This doesn't mean we know all the answers, we are amazed how much we learn daily) Some have no idea when to call a Farrier (What's a Farrier?) or why a horse re-acts the way they do, or why you need to talk loud to your beloved horse who may be asleep, when approaching. Some have no clue the real reasons horses need to be groomed and how often, or how to choose the correct tack (SO IMPORTANT) for their personal horse. Lastly, some have no clue how and what to feed in proper proportions, what yearly vaccinations are needed, what "worming" means and that horses areas need to be cleaned daily. WE in fact, continue to learn from others every day. WE OFFER: Memberships, (some includes certificates) - (By day=$75.00, week=$150.00, month=$300.00 and seasonal=$500.00). For Clubs-Boy/Girl Scout Programs w/Merits - Badges, etc. $25.00 pp w 2 free spots for organizers of event w/group of 10 or more. (Prices may vary with group arrangements - Camp-Outs here are a big hit...) Participants may go on a trail ride after topics are covered. Custom scheduling and training is available to meet your group/troup needs and schedule. Personal 1 Hr. Class=$25.00 & Field Trips=$5.00 pp Four (4) Page Brochure mailed upon request. Information, Safety & Horsmanship, Hands-On Training, Riding Abilities, etc. may vary depending on what is needed, and/or expected for each group/troup or participant. BASIC RIDING LESSONS: We do not just teach a participant to ride, we begin by teaching Safety & Horsemanship, beginning from ground up. We make aware the nature of a horse, the basics in caring, grooming, and "correct tack". Even if you do not own a horse and want to learn how to ride, you need to know "what" you are riding first. You must be prepared to learn a horse is not or "should not" be an "occasional pet". They need proper daily and yearly care in proper facilities every day, week, season and year.
