"experience the magic"

Big Brothers / Big Sisters offer one-to-one relationships between a child and an adult.

Think back to when you were younger. Other than your parents, who touched your life? Who is that person you always remember with a smile? Maybe it was your Aunt who taught you her favorite recipe? Or perhaps a neighbor who taught you how to fix cars? Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is about sharing magical moments like these. This program is FREE & open to any family for services or any individual wishing to volunteer.

What is Head Start?
Headstart is a Federal program for preschool children from low-income families.
The Head Start program is operated by local non-profit organizations in almost every county in the country. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting. Head Start helps all children succeed. Services are offered to meet the special needs of children with diabilities.

The Dodge County Head Start Program consists of three separate programs. Center-based, Home-base and Early Head Start. Head Start can also offer assistance to parents interested in obtaining a highschool General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or other adult education opportunities. *If you have a family member with a special problem, such as drug or alcohol abuse, job loss, or other family crisis, your family can receive help through Head Start.
