strengths by providing support, education, and information.

Meetings designed to
meet the needs of people with disabilities.
We provide opportunities
for people with a disability to experience an atmosphere of love
and acceptance on a regular basis.
We are sharing God's
love in meeting physical needs, emotional needs and spiritual
needs.
There is NO Sign Up.
ALL SERVICES ARE FREE.
We operate by Donation Only.
We NEED VOLUNTEERS to help with fund raising and local
support group meetings and other activities. Volunteers needed
as care givers in WI at Summer Get Away and in 11 other states.
Some of our past accomplishments...
--1982: Special Touch hosted the 1st. Wisconsin Summer Get Away
in Waupaca, WI.
--1988: Beaver Dam Chapter
started as a support group to parents with special needs children.
--TODAY: Special Touch is for people with disabilities to
include family and friends.
-- We have been available to educate people in sponsoring Disability
Awareness Sunday in local churches.
--We have shared at local service organizations. Besides having
fund raising in our community we have also provided free gift
wrapping services at Shop-Ko the last 2 years for the elderly
and disabled. We have provided services for the Care Center and
do visitation in other Nursing Homes.

Sharon Hamann.
Compassionate Friends is a support
group for bereaved parents.
Did we leave anyone out?
Do we need to add anything or
correct anything, please tell us!
If you organization fits our criteria - provides
quality services* for the community for free or a VERY LOW fee
- please let us know! We'd be happy to post it for free! (Especially
if they also could use a little help to keep the program going
- ie. with volunteers, donations...)
*ex.: services that enhance, de-stress,
enrich or teach the community
